Choi catches Oh-sol staring at him, he wonders, “Do I look different now that you know I’m a doctor?” Oh-sol admits that she was surprised to learn the truth but Mr. Choi’s “nice” meal is convenience store ramen and kimbap accompanied by a view of the Han river. Choi proposes a nice meal and Seon-gyeol watches from his car as they walk away. Choi jokes that he can’t stay out all night, Oh-sol snaps, “You’re unbelievable.” Relieved that Oh-sol is back to normal, Mr. She may even stay out tonight.” Joo-yeon then excuses herself so that Oh-sol and Dr. Choi asks Oh-sol if she’s headed home but Joo-yeon interjects, “Of course not…She wants to have dinner, drink tea, and have fun today. Seon-gyol realizes that “Rooftop” is his doctor and he gapes at Mr. Seon-gyeol stares at Oh-sol and her rooftop neighbor and overhears some students discuss the handsome Dr. In spite of her confusion, she begins to notice that she’s more at ease around one of them.ĮPISODE 8: “Things I Like and Things I Like” Her boss constantly criticizes her and she can’t figure out why she puts up it. Her rooftop neighbor turns out to be an accomplished psychiatrist but she can’t seem to shake her misconceptions about him.
Our leading lady doesn’t know what to make of the two men who have taken a personal interest in her. I hope Kim Yoo-Jung gets a more interesting, nuanced character and better drama next time (with a younger lead actor too).29 DecemDecemClean With Passion for Now: Episode 8 by TeriYaki Romantic comedy with formulaic plots need to at least make your heart flutter and this couple ain't it. The age difference and power dynamics now he is her boss are just wrong. I don't understand why South Korea seems to love pairing teenage girls with 30-something year old men. He is closer visually to the webtoon character, more handsome and a better actor. SJR is also much older than the female lead but he gives of the chaebol vibe. I think it might be better if Yoon Kyun Sang swapped roles with Song Jae Rim.
He looks like an uncle in his scene with Yoo Jung and it's gross to imagine them in a romance. No matter how much beauty filter they use in his close-ups it is obvious he is much older and his looks and physique leave much to be desired.
Yoon Kyun Sang is just miscast to me and his visuals don't work for this character. And the girl helps him to become less uptight and have fun blah blah… And of course the chaebol is uptight with a messy home life and distant mother who I can already predict will try to get in the way of their romance. They should have just made her an orphan to tick the final box off the list of cliches. I was so excited for her comeback drama after 2 years and I'm genuinely shocked she isn't being offered better scripts than this! Quirky-plucky-hardworking-poor love interest in a formulaic chaebol romcom.
I think she is one of the most talented and prettiest actresses of her generation. I love Kim Yoo-Jung but will be passing on this drama.
